Hi guys, can you do me a favour while I shamelessly spam you?
A friend of mine has launched a website today that is supposed to be a sort of TripAdvisor for people renting in the UK. The idea is that people post reviews of places they've rented with info on what the property/landlord/area is like so that when people are looking to rent somewhere new they can have a look on the site and hopefully get the kind of info that you don't normally find out until after you've moved in.
As the website's just launched it needs populating with reviews so that it can attract more reviews before it can be of any use to anyone, so if you have 5 minutes spare would you do me a massive favour and write a review of somewhere you've lived?
The website is: http://ratewhereyourent.co.uk/
I promise not to spam you ever again!
Can't help as I've never rented. Take it that it doesn't include hiday accommodation?
Nah, just normal renting.
How have you managed to avoid ever renting?
Because I'm so ancient that I didn't leave home till I married and we bought our present house at that time - 40 years come August. * staggers to feet and grabs zimmer before heading for bed*
The same place for 40 years? You must love it!

We do. I dread the day when we'll be too old/incapacited to stay here.

Disgraceful flouting of the rules!
If it was down to me...
The bloody child on the Sainsbury ad for Red Nose Day sounds like a real creepy alien.
The term, often associated with hippies, man, is a cultural hangover that references slavery. Black slaves were referred to as boy, as a riposte to this black people started to call each other man, this term was then adopted by the sixties counter culture and slowly crept into everyday use.
So, the white version of "man" is "dude", dude?

Dude is an old English word dating back to the 1870's meaning a dandy. The original meaning may come from Scotland where duddies meant clothes
