Went to one of my local HMVs on Sunday to see a big sign saying "Closing Down" and I thought oh no! There was hardly anything in the store and the staff seemed sad. Shame!
HMV closing down Page 5
I went in one the other day and there were big gaps everywhere. It was kinda sad. Then I saw they were selling a Blu-ray of Inglourious Basterds for £28 and remembered that HMV were nothing but a bunch of tossers.
Ha!
Went to buy a few blue cross items the other day and they've stopped the promotion. Not taken the bloody blue crosses off though. I told them to keep them.
And like a scavenger I went to the closing down Croydon branch only to find nothing worth buying.
All that to actually get a train to Croydon too.

HMV have always been overpriced they cannot compete with Amazon, it is a shame there won't be any big high street record shops, but as you say they were robbing gits. I never had the same affection for them I had for Woolworths, the mere sight of a pick and mix can make me go misty. When I was young you could go to record shops and listen to albums in booths, aye they were the days! I'd be there listening to Never Mind the Bollocks with all my mates and then off for a coffee at the Whimpy

Interesting. Cheers for posting , old rocker!!!
Went to another store 40 minutes away from me, and they do not appear to be shutting. They had all new stock as I bought Vexed series 2 and the Alan Partridge 2012 specials on DVD.

We should get a cut of that since it's our posts that bring traffic to the site. The more posts the bigger the cut.

Are all of the HMVs going to eventually close?
