Ooooh.
I bet there is so much more rudeness in Shakespeare plays than we know about.

More than is dreamt of in your philosophy Horatizooo . . .

I learned something weird today: 'o-thing' was Elizabethan slang for vagina. And the title of Shakespeare's play 'Much Ado About Nothing' is a pun on 'an o-thing'. Which means the title is 'Much Ado About Vaginas'.

I needed to share that discovery with someone. Sorry it had to be you lot!

Which episode of Q.I. was that in?

Is that like a site where you send in your dirty knickers to MP's and they send you a completed expense account back?

I don't have the post code for the Welsh Assembly.

Why don't journalists bug the Welsh Assembly? Because it's full of leaks.

The more I read the more I realise that Shakespeare is like 90% knob gags.

There is a clue in his name if you think about it! :)

Yeah, and curiously they say it's not a made up name.

The O thing may also refer the globe, which he called his wooden O, plus it was the red light district of the day, and theatres were pushed out there because of the smut and bawd content, among other stuff, so it was all code for the same thing, they reckon.

I'm sure Harridan knows of it already but Shakespeare's best known words for that same thing were conny and hey nonny nonny. Conny because they looked like connies(rabbits) to them :) and that became cunny and that became .... So Shakespeare was as filthy as Chubby Brown. :)

I love the sordid filthy world so much great literature was born in

Chip's knuckle joints hurt. He's not going to make a big thing out of it but it seems unfair that you can't apply to Help For Heroes for grants and suchlike.

Just heard Olay ad on radio. A child's message to their mother for mother's day: 'So your skin can be perfect even if your daughter isn't'.

Has anyone else heard this? It creeped me out! It's like a childline advert for those less loved than egotistical consumerism.
'Sophie has learnt that no-one comes when she cries... but she doesn't care because her parents use facecream'

Mother's day

because it's never to late for adoption.

I think it is meant more in the way that ' maybe you haven't been a perfect daughter to your Mum over the year etc, but you can make it up to her on Mothers Day by treating her. Some pampering products and such like - Oil of Ulay being one I guess.

Could be wrong of course. I am not up on moisturisers!! :)

Nothing says "I'm sorry for being an inconsiderate daughter" quite like anti-wrinkle cream for your ugly, old mum.

I think there is a an awful lot of moisturising products sold, I should think mainly not bought as presents.

Nothing says "I'm sorry for being an inconsiderate daughter" quite like Chanel No5 for your smelly, old mum.'

Could be a runner though.
