Without wanting to sound like a grouch, is there anybody else out there who'd gladly donate money just to avoid enduring this yet again? So far this year, we've had Girls Aloud and The Sugababes massacre Walk This Way, a whole plethora of unfunny adverts (the "red ear" one in atrocious), and Lenny Henry popping up all over the place plugging it... And the horror that is Red Nose day isn't even upon us yet.
Relief From Comic Relief?
I truly believe that Comic Relief only exists to give Lenny Henry something to do.
I loved that bit in Extras, when Andy was asked to name a funny black comedian and then looks at the Lenny Henry poster.
Baumski, I've just noticed the noose in your icon. I've wondered why you had a picture of the Crazy Frog.
Back on topic. Red Nose Day, Comic Relief, Lenny Henry day, call it what you want, I have no opinion.

That's not very nice Baumski. Lenny Henry's got plenty to do. For a start he's gotta get Dawn dressed and showered and lifted onto their dumptruck before towing her to the BBC.
Andy
OOoooooo, bitchy!
Comic Relief though. Hmmm. Yes, interesting point. I see where chipolata is coming from, but like Leevil, I'm really not bothered one way or the other.
I'm looing forward to The Vicar of Dibley mini-episode. Sting's in it.
btw, I heard Lenny Henry on Radio 2 today. It was just saying how they were aiming for more money as usual. Yawn, yawn.
I can take it or leave it too. There are too many of these sorts of ch-ch-charity things and they make you feel guilty if you don't give them any money.
What about contributing a sketch somehow though? Is it possible? It would give this site some good publicity. I suggested the "I'm on Knights" sketch.
Anyone watcgh this weekends Casualty? I know it's nota comedy and I regularly watch it. However this weeks was Red Nose specialwritten by Richard Curtis.
I hate it when they attach these Ch-ch-charity things to regular series. There's always some political points in Casualty but this one was too "politically correct". I think Richard Curtis has finally lost touch with reality.
Can't say I did. Haven't watched Casualty in about a year now. Any examples of his politcal correctness?
For pure torture, it's hard to top Fame Academy. It's the most pointless Comic Relief special ever, and agony to watch. That said, it was funny seeing Tara Palmer Tompkinson sweating like a pig. It reminded me somewhat of her famous appearance on The Frank Skinner Show.
They were all doing things for Comic Relief and the Administrator was totally against it all. Then at the end he goes "bloody bloody bloody etc" to pay into the swear box. Ha ha ha.
I'd take an old fashioned revamp of Comic Relief and put the lot of them in a bath of baked beans - head first!
I want to do sexual deeds to Kiesha of the Sugababes.
I like the fact that they give half the money to charities in th UK so racists will donate money, its very inclusive.
It's inevitable that Russel Brand should be in it. I half expected it. And there's so many presenters, last time they looked like The X Men!
