More Bob Mortimer on TV please Plus, you could tell he really wanted to have a proper nerdy chat about horror films but Charlie wasn't having it, and Bob looked a bit sad inside. Those chat segments are too short to be really worth it though. I'd like to see it as a different show, somewhere else. I just want total WIPEout here.

Awww! Yes, I could have watched Bob talk about horror films for ages. I want to see The Wreck now. (Or whatever it was called.)
I thought he meant REC.
Ooh. *looks on imdb*

Stick to the original Spanish version.

This.
Although, isn't the remake called Quarantine?

So it is. Avoid it.

I thought it was spot-on, if we can't laugh at ourselves ...
I noticed 'Hislop' on the News when it was broadcast, glad someone else picked up on it.
This show is excellent Charlie broker should be given the whole BBC budget to do with as he sees fit

The remake ain't so bad. It adds nothing to the original that's for sure, and it strips away the intersting Catholic stuff, but it's still solid nuts and bolt horror. Plus it paves the way for Quarantine 2, which I got a few weeks ago from a charity shop for 99p.
I'd agree with Lee on the chat bit, though. Either have a full blooded half an hour chat on cinema, maybe in a Red Button on BBC Four offshoot show, or not at all.
The chat but is very odd. I wonder if these people are already in the building or if they ask people to come in especially for a random 2 minute segment. Reminds me a bit of the shows you used to get on TV late at night where they'd get a few celebrities and academics and chair a discussion about random subjects (as opposed to chat shows where they are plugging something or politics shows where they are spinning something) - I'd love to see something like that on TV now.
I'm enjoying the show but I think there are too many elements to it. Doug Stanhope's presence seems incongruous now as he just seems to be doing his stand-up material rather than commenting on British TV or news. I like Barry Shitpeas, but his bit is too short now for the brilliant stuff his character used to give us. The woman from 2 Episodes of Mash is just annoying me by playing dumb without much humour. The Screenwipe/Newswipe format was perfect, they should have stuck with it.
Interesting that he did a Bug-esque section on internet comments, that felt a bit uncomfortable, as if he's stealing Adam Buxton's act.

It's not that it's bad, but if you're capable of reading subtitles (as I assume Zooo is), you may as well go with the best of the two.
It's the same with The Ring original. Something a lot more creepy/alien/strange about their version. Whereas, when I see Naomi Watts, it's harder to suspend-disbelief.

I have to disagree with you there, I actually prefer the US version for its coherence. How can we best settle this, Lee? It's a bit late in the day for a joust.
