When I was a school an effete History teacher took me and three other boys down to London on the train to visit The Science Museum. It was a great day, although looking back it was a strange thing for him to do and I can't quite remember why he did it.

In fairness, Stuart Hall was a good teacher . . .

Mr C was a nice man.

I've worked full time in admin for 20 years

Bored of it

I no longer need a full time wage due to my savings and I don't want to work full time hours anymore

What easy menial part time jobs would your recommend?

Something really basic that requires no stress whatsoever - about 20 hours a week

I've considered rent boy but I'd be lucky to make minimum wage

What kind of things interest you? I really enjoyed working as an information assistant in a library (ie. the people who reshelve books, scan barcodes, and reload the photocopier) as I could read for a lot of the day and found lots of interesting books and listened to Radio 4 while reshelving, but good luck finding a library that's still open...

University libraries are open.

easy menial

Contradiction in terms...menial jobs require a LOT of hard work, believe me I've done 'em, factory, kitchen assistant, cashier.
Why not try writing... ;)

True there are no truly easy jobs. If you're a likeable enough person who doesn't get riled why not try something in care? Meet lots of people and if you work with more able independent types it can be sort of like gettng paid to go down the pub,

That.

Do something you are vaguely interested in. You may find a new career, and no longer fuelled by money, you can do it for the love of it. Sounds pretty damn sweet.

I vote you get a job feeding penguins at the zoo.

I'd so work in a zoo if there was one nearby. :)
