Last one I watched was a really guilty pleasure, five minutes of an episode of the forgotten U.S. medical drama "Marcus Welby M.D." Prior to that I saw about fifteen minutes of a film starring Jerry Lewis called ,"Hook Line and Sinker", I am a huge fan but I found it hard going.

Well... it would be nice to understand the punchline.

Python did a pretty much identical sketch, which ended in Palin saying "sorry" as the entire house collapsed.

I can't remember the Python sketch at the moment but it wouldn't be unlikely that this German sketch was inspired by it. Another German comedian openly admitted that his (highly succesful) 80s show was based on Not The 9 O'Clock News.
Or a comedy sketch duo re-created a Two Ronnies sketch; the one where Barker is constantly slapping Corbett at a party.
