Remember the second half of the series is 'the search for the soufflé girl'. Expect a custard pie fight between the Mary Berry Dalek and the Paul Hollywood Cyberleader as Moffat's Cryptomnesia spirals out of control.

:D ALthough I'm trying to think who you are referring to as Paul Hollywood Cyberleader

Not looking forward to this, one bit.
Mark Gatiss is a terrible writer and Exec Producer!

Looking forward to this, but it does seem a bit odd that (As things currently stand) the biopic thing is going to be movie length, but the actual Anniversay special will just be a single hour. Obviously we might not actually have been told the full plan yet.

Money?
Minute-for-minute the drama will be a deal cheaper, I would have thought.

When you say "Anniversary special", do you mean some kind of multi Doctor episode like The Five Doctors? Cause no-one knows what form ANY special will take.

Sure, but I imagine it will bring in more money; certainly long term.

Maybe.
It would be nice to think they were that forward thinking.
But I wonder wether there's a just a budget and everyone works within that?

You're right. You might enjoy this thread I created called 'living with Mark Gatiss'. https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/thread/19094/

No, it I'll be a drama about how the programme came about, like the Road to Coronation Street or the Curse of Comedy. BBC4 usually does a decent job so I'll look forward to it.

I really like Gatiss as an actor, but his writing generally leaves me cold...I'm cautiously optimistic about this one though, I just hope he doesn't try to be too 'clever' with it.

Having a bit of classic Who on Netflix
The Aztecs
The Mind Robber
Spearhead from Space
The Three Doctors
The Carnival of Monsters
The Green Death
The Ark in Space
The Pyramids of Mars
Horror of Fang Rock
The Ribos Operation
The Androids of Tara
The Power of Kroll
The City of Death
The Leisure Hive
The Visitation
The Caves of Androzani
The Curse of Fenric

Just watching Spearhead again, might go for Fang Rock next.

I always get Gaitis muddled up with the other League Of Gentleman bods. I suspect he's the tall gay one, but he could well be the fat one or the short pretty one. Still, I have a feeling the docu-drama might be more interesting than the actual fiftieth special.

He is indeed the tall gay one.
The fat one isn't fat anymore. But the pretty one is still pretty.

Watched Terror of the Autons yesterday, Roger Delgado was the best Master bar none, and of course the beautiful and quirky Katy Manning, ah my lost youth....
