I walked 200 miles in character and filmed it...

I walked 200 miles from London to Swansea this month to raise money for my new play. We filmed a daily video diary, in character. I play a deluded old Welsh man who has written a play and has no money to put it on. Here's the first installment - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1tj_7-veTo

You can click through to the other videos on YouTube. There are 9 in total, plus a couple of older videos we did before the walk to introduce the characters and the idea. All on YouTube on the Velvet Trumpet channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/VelvetTrumpet/videos?view=0&flow=grid

We wrote a script and improvised about 30% of the ideas. We're pretty happy with how it turned out so I hope you enjoy them.

Cheers!

That was very enjoyable good luck I liked the straight man funny man interplay and women sweet lines good stuff

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed :)

We weren't quite sure how it would pan out in the end with the various story strands but I think it just about made sense!

Shameful bump.

If you've walked 200 miles I think you deserve a bump

nb what was harder, walking the distance or staying in character?

Oh, the walking definitely. I can pretend to be an old Welsh man at the drop of a hat. Actually, the hardest part was probably keeping that moustache on. I only put it on for filming but I resorted to covering my top lip in vaseline and sticking it on that way. Doing that in the rain on a pavementless road wasn't fun.
