Roast gammon just seems odd, it doesn't really benefit from roasting unlike say pork

Hark at Egon Ronay

Rolling eyes

Ever contemplated eating some evil pigs who would have been killed anyway?

There's these pigs who were done for murder.

How are you spending this Sunday?

Papa Johns give good pizza. And sides.

Tomorrow for lunch I have cheese and bacon roll and potato and leek soup. I'm looking foward to it.

Fish and hashbrowns again for dinner. Not really looking foward to that.

Turbot is lovely, but terribly pricey.

Have you had to get used to kosher cooking yet?

It was lovely - we pan fried it and served it with a carrot and celeriac mash and a white wine sauce. Mmmmm

Yeah, we are living as kosher as possible.

Oh dear more kosher than me

Very ignorant question coming up.
Is Kosher when you don't mix meat and dairy products in the same meal?

NO CHEESEBURGERS???

Wellthat's a start. But basically the Torah is full of dietary guidelines, no shell fish, no pork, animals must be slaughtered in a certain way etc etc

It's a lot of work, but then no one ever said being Gods chosen people was easy.

(I havent even slightly kept kosher in over 20 years)

Would some people have 2 fridges in their kitchen, or would it be enough to keep the dairy and meat on different shelves?

My father liked the kosher wine...he wasn't a jew he only liked the drink. Is it really different from "normal" wine?

I'd imagine it is ordinary wine which gets blessed by a rabbi or something.

Yup there's a whole slew of regulations around wine production, that and most modern wine contains isinglass which is made from animal bits.

Fridges yes, but if you can't afford it then there's alternative solutions.

It's all very expensive.

NO CHEESEBURGERS???

Vegie burger or vegan cheese.

The kosher alternatives are surprisingly good.
