So who knows the best source of up-to-date information on local road closures? The official traffic websites are useless .
Local radio - it's pretty good round here.

Quote: Tuumble @ January 18 2013, 11:14 AM GMTOn my radio show tomorrow I am interviewing Brian 'Nasher' Nash, the guitarist in Frankie goes to Hollywood. He's making a special trip from North London so I'm hoping the weather isn't going to be too bad.
As a guide to what was happening down there I went to the Abbey Road webcam and was amused to see that even in this weather people are still going back and forth over the zebra crossing to follow in the Beatles footsteps.
Cool, they have full streaming video and sound on that website.
Bah humbug, waste of Internet resources...

Had to leave work two hours early as my daughters school closed...'tis a blizzard out there.
I was supposed to experience terrible snow yesterday, but it never came. The snow that did come wasn't very heavy and I actually gave it the finger as I was driving home in it.
I gave it the finger too, but it kicked me in the bollocks in return. We have a winter-hell here.
Can the weather affect broadband speed?
I'm having terrible problems at the moment.
No idea but I'd say it's possible there's a cold weather effect on broadbean as all sorts of radio based electronics and what nots and gizmos go wrong in arctic conditions I believe. But this isn't arctic weather, it's mild namby pamby barely wintery weather.
Teehee, broadbean.
Snowing again here in Wolverhampton!
