Only if you assume that anyone who hasn't specifically mentioned their ethnic background yet is white.
(But is also probably true.)

Most people end up mentioning it at some point, I've been to all the meetups and like all the other answers its mostly filtering through what people say.
though interestingly I'd say in terms of mild mental health issues and autism the site is slightly above the national average.
Yes, autism and aspergers definitely seem fairly common.
Most users won't use their real name.
Indeed BIlbo
And its predominantly male

Or it appears that way because a few people have made themselves known or have seemed that way from posts, but what IS the national average for forum users??
Much higher than those whjo are allergic to computers
But its figured to be either 1% or 10%

I agree it is very interesting.
Perhaps 'tortured genius syndrome' draws us to a comedy site; there are people here who have personal experience, eg who have worked in mental health or know someone with a learning difficulty but don't have these problems themselves.
There are famous comedians who fit that profile.
The average BCGer changes their avatar twice a year...and no doubt their underwear even less.
I won't change my avatar because it was a bloody struggle to find how to do it the first time.
And by the way, surely cat-loving must be a predominant characteristic?
The Average BCGer does not partake in the Skit Comp! Get on there people
I never got the skit comp. The whole point in posting on critique is to get feedback.
Which the comp doesn't provide.
I see where your coming from but I believe its a good tool to get 'Newbys' thinking outside their little bubble. Perhaps it needs to be relocated?

It's located in critique because that's where most of the writer's hangout or at least they did. I originally created it to get people used to writing to a set theme and get the brain warmed up.
Ultimately it's a piece of harmless fun for people to enjoy taking part in and exchange ideas whilst getting a different type of feedback, not direct criticism but a chance to have your work put before an audience of sorts.
Oh no it's great and I appreciate what people get out of it, just saying why I don't enter.
I'm also not very competative and I'm only really interested in beating myself.
