As the original post was about 3 years ago, has the definition of an average BCGer changed?
I think they're mainly men, around 28 years old, aspiring comedians (but too lazy to actually do anything about it), and angry.

Two things have surprised me most over the years about people who post here - if I am able to talk about them as a generalised mass; how politically conservative they were and how into junk food they were.
All of the other shit from them I expected.
In regards to these two things I think they are slightly ahead of the general population. I am at a loss to explain why.
Nah, most of the population chomp on burgers while moving their lips to the Sun. This lot are Clement Freud by comparison.

I'd say its kinda split into more sub groups.
1 mid twetnies-early thirties or 40s through to 60s
2 Probably 50% have children or grand children
3 More than 50% are in a long term relationship or married.
4 There is a statistically small number of ethnic minorities
5 Most members are graduates and are in some sort of professional careers
6 Puns and joke writing are less popular than they were
7 Relatively few write comedy, certainly less than 3 years ago
8 Most BCGers drink a few smoke, but most have relatively healthy diets
9 Most BCGers are aetheist some quite commitedly
