Damon Hill himself plays guitar I think. I remember reading his name in the credits to a Def Leppard album.

I'd recommend their first three albums (including this one). The first one is the roughest (a bit more punky), the second is their bleakest (like Seventeen Seconds and Faith by The Cure)...and this one is probably their artistic peak.
