Doctor Who... Page 924
JK Rowling is apparently one of them, so some people are saying.
I hope that doesn't mean the Doctor will start solving problems with some kind of magic wand
Have you read her latest book?
I really hope the next producer puts a blanket ban on the sonic screwdriver. It's worse than in the original Batman series where every problem was solved with a handy "Bat-something" they happen to have on them.

There's a few wands being waved about in that aren't there?
I'd like to keep it but as it was intended a sort of Swiss army knife and not a weapon

Yeah, unlock doors, that sort of thing. Or 'sonicey' things. Like it made sense in the Christmas special that he could turn it up and shatter the ice woman, but drop the other things. What is he even reading when he looks at it to get information???
Or just lose 5 minutes of dead dialogue explaining how the doc just managed to find a particle accelerator lying around

Have you?
Nope! But I imagine there wasn't any magic in it.

Has anyone, I suspect it's blank designed purely for being a Christmas present
