How fantastic to win your Wedding. Did you have your pics in the magazine?
No, simply given the tickets with all sorts of extras thrown in like free meals and trips and off we went. It was a survey at the back of the magazine, all very low key really.

It's my new years resolution to not use any of those.
Bother.

Like sir cliff I'm a Batchelor boy
Drop me a line if you ever feel the need to get hitched and start spawning progeny. I know a few eligible ladies keen to leave China and move to the UK. Beautiful, strong work ethic, industrious, self-taught English, laugh readily at feeble jokes, cooking a mite spicy but you can't have everything.
Several women are begging me to help them find Western husbands - even though China is the new land of opportunity. Obviously I won't introduce them to vulgar Australian alcoholic philanderers or British louts, but a comedy gent should make an ideal match.
Do I get to try before I buy
Oh and hello Kenneth haven't seen you in a bit how you doing?

Nothing for sale. I am actively opposed to the global flesh trade. I have a bunch of female Chinese acquaintances reluctant to marry locally, as they claim rich Chinese men tend to be unfaithful and neglectful, while poor Chinese men are not wonderful providers (and may also squander limited funds on infidelity, drink and gambling). They are also keen to live in the West in order to have the opportunity to earn more money and undertake further education/training. Their main requirements for any prospective husband are "faithful", "kind" and "able to support a family without dumping them for a younger model within 10 years". I can get you in touch with a few non-psycho ladies, should you wish. Cynically, they may indeed simply view you as a stepping stone to a better life, but they claim to be capable of genuine affection and yearn to have two children. Of course there will be cultural differences, but it doesn't take long to break bad habits such as spitting onto the table and handing out red envelopes of cash to children.
Yaaaay! Congrats, Ellie!

Thanks, I fear as a stepping stone to better things, I'm a stepping stone at the bottom of a fast running river.

Thanks Scats.
I am spending this week calling up venues. Found a couple of great ones in London! The dream is to get married outside - but the weather is way too unpredictable.

Not at all. Fidelity is imperative, so while you may get the proverbial ball and chain, you would also gain the proverbial lifelong soulmate, where the twain e'er meets, sort of thing.

I can line you up a nice package for a wedding in sunny Bali. Well worth it if your guests can swim over and back.
