Denise. She occasionally veers dangerously close to being the sitcom trope I hate the most - the "ditsy" blonde - but luckily she's played very straight and the rest of the family is on the same mental plain.
Jim may be an arsehole, but you couldn't write too many minutes of an episode without giving him screen time.
Denise, the main reason I avoid the show and these Christmas episodes we're being plagued with year after year. I know it's all fiction and I appreciate what they're doing, but I gave up because the scripts just seem to vindicate her for being so selfish. I don't find it funny. Other shows can make it work but not this one, I feel.
Jim by contrast is at least likeable. I've actually had discussions with my own family as to if the show has become less enjoyable as we've seen the rise of the self indulgent chav lifestyle during its time on air.
Denise has the best part
