I'm probably not alone here in having received the "you're in the 84% category" email from writersroom and experiencing a bizarre (and quite probably unreasonable and disproportionate) sense of disappointment and rejection.

So I'm here to ask if any of you - as many as possible - would be so kind as to have a look at my script. No one apart from me has actually read it; I like it, of course I do, but I don't trust my objectivity on this one

I'm a bit wary of posting it on this site (don't want tomatoes hurled at it) so I'd prefer to send it to individuals - if, of course, anyone's interested.

You could always contact a pro-script reader, like Danny Stack. You have to pay, but you'll get an experienced eye giving you notes.

Where as we are generally free.

Do both. It'll be worth it.

Not wishing to deepen your gloom any more, but.....

a) if this was the case then it was pretty nuts to send it off to WritersRoom. They are not a reading service, but are looking for quality writers they hope to develop.

b) You need to man up on the tomato front - you'll be on the receiving end of plenty.

As suggested, post a couple of pages up in critique.
If it tickles anyones fancy they might ask to take a look.

I was joking about the tomatoes - of course I want them, just don't want the mess to clear up!

Yeah I suppose it was a bit silly to send it to writersroom - but where else? I wrote it, loved doing it, and thought (yeah, deluded I know) that perhaps I might get lucky.

Anyway, I'll post some of it here then. What do you think, the first ten pages?
