Peep Show - Series 8 Page 23

I'd completely forgotten Mark had a baby until someone mentioned it in this thread. Have they made any reference to it at all? (I may have missed it.)

Yes. It's even been seen. Sophie's brother (?) came to pick it from the flat a few episodes back.

I think the baby wasn't the best storyline glad they sidelined it without killing it

I am suddenly thinking I've missed an episode...

Jeff picked it up. Think it was the first episode.

I thought the baby brought a duty of responsibility to Mark that led to some good stories. The episode where Mark and Jeremy got stuck in the hallway of Jeremy's boss' flat when Mark desperately needed to get to the Christening was genius.

Yeah, twas a good 'un.

That was very good, it had some thing very funny about pizza in it.

I think Mark becomes a loser and Jez becomes an earner was a nifty conciet. And the show didn't benefit from shelving it.

Pissy pizza. Laughing out loud

It's got that dubbed look again.

Loved that episode, my favourite of this series.

07598922328 Dobby's number!

Can't believe it's over all ready :(

Poor end to a poor series.

Compare the original Quantocking with Quantocking II and weep.

Still better than most things on TV, sadly.

Kind of descended into physical farce at the end, nothing wrong with that, but didn't really feel in keeping with the show. Loved Jez's line about being 'a sex duckling' but despite the explanation, having them both fall for Dobby still seemed a bit far fetched.

Dobby moving in should have been a massive threat to Jeremy, especially as he was losing his home - would have made more sense to do a story arc with him trying to split them up. But, you know, too late now.

Was good to see some old Mark values coming out with regards to train fare dodging, I've been missing those.

Still good, but could have been a whole lot betterer.

There were some great moments the train, Super Hans's home was a wonderland of unspoken menace and madness. But the whole Dobbie plot felt unbelievable and undeveloped. And the final fight was just too nasty to really be farce or slapstick.

It's like in the last couple of seasons; Mark getting sacked and becoming a dad, Jez actually growing up a bit they were taking the show in exciting new directions. And now it's just well a bit meh?

And Dobbie if they were playing completely as a straight man could work. But the mad, uber geek with the bizarre friends and silly songs is gone.

It's still the best thing on TV, but c'monthat's not saying much,
