Quote: Lee @ December 21 2012, 1:32 PM GMTFor some reason when I was about 13 I was obsessed with the idea of getting a train set, so when I got one for Christmas, I was so excited. Only to set it all up and have a very basic circle shaped track and once the train has gone around once, that's pretty much the game finished with.
I had the same experience. I later discovered that the "fun" of a train set is apparently the creation of complicated schedules, and the task of getting everything to run on time. Not my idea of fun.

No, luckily I wasn't raised by retards, so all my toys did not have to be pink.

At the same time I was kinda into Warhammer, nothing to do with the actual game, I just liked collecting the figures and painting them. So I imagined a scene something like this...
But what I actually got was this -
That was my all time favourite Christmas present as a child. I loved that space ship. And finding that pic on the internet nearly had me in tears.
And that was great too, Castle Grayskull, home of He-Man...or Skeletor???
Cooooooooool.
The castle?
As a six year year old boy I must have had the same amazed look on my face as ten years later looking at a pin up calendar.

Yep!

I remember getting a Race and Chase one year. That was a big year.

Ah, yeah, that would probably be the best present I got as a kid. I was very impressed with the lightgun. My sister showed me where it was hidden before Christmas day and we opened it up and had a play, then re-boxed it. No one ever found out. The perfect crime.
Haha! I did that too with my Sega Dreamcast. The worst part was that I was NOT impressed with it! I felt awful (again) I soon grew to love it though.
Zx Spectrum for me.
That was Awesome, but I was given it early I can't remember why.
I think I may have found it in a cupboard.
Heman used to go and wrestle with Skeletor on "snake mountain"
Which made me think of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjVugzSR7HA
