Are you saying that we should all have exactly the same opinion on every subject?

Of course not.

Ok, so I'm currently masturbating to this "argument". The next person who contributes will cause me to orgasm. If you want to be responsible for that, please continue.

I like this new moderating style. Very sexy.

It is name-calling, though. Might not be the same severity, but it is still name-calling.

You mentioned "ignorant sheep" first from what I can see, not RC.

The only one that really gets aroused here is RC.

I am not being contrary for the sake of it, it's just the levels of sheepish ignorance expressed on here by the uninformed force my hand.

Apologies.

I like to take a hands-on approach.

If you all can't get along why not just avoid each other? It would be far less stressful for you all.

I have to wade through pages full of these provocative and pointless (RC most probably calls them "intellectual") posts til I get to a real and honest discussion, that is what annoys me. So I have to avoid whole threads to avoid this boredom and pointless aggression?

Quote: Gordon Bennett @ December 15 2012, 2:24 PM GMT

I'm not calling you a Troll RC...I only wanted to point out that it sometimes seems to me that you like to provoke pointless discussions for the sake of it.

It is all down to perspective. My choice of language is often provocative, but that is to challenge an accepted point of view and spark discussion. If you see that as pointless, then don't participate in said discussion. I certainly steer well clear of anything to do with Cats or I'm a Celebrity or...well, most threads on this forum.

'Cor blimey, the foreigns are taking over, I feel like a minority in my own city'

'Shut up you racist bigot'

'The latest Census shows that white British people are in a minority in London'

'Shut up your racist bigot'

So yeah, sometimes arguments need to be sparked.

I have no problem with your choice of language...it's these pointless arguments like a few days (or weeks) ago with Harridan in the "Who Do you...?" thread about respect towards women. Sooooooooooooooo pointless...

You didn't defend your "point of view", you only wanted to see Harridan getting high blood pressure.

I really shouldn't blame you...I should blame the people who fall for your deliberate provocations.

My blood pressure is fine, thank you. I do like a debate, but I wouldn't call conversations with RC a debate.

Like myself now... :D That's it for me now.

That's my point. Sysiphus-game would be more appropriate.
