Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights Page 2

Only seen the second series, been meaning to get both on DVD for ages. Best bits IMO: Jerry singing "come and get your black bin bags" to the tune of Forget Me Nots; the inflatable penis; and the episode where Jerry mixes his medication with booze.

Holy shit. I love this show, it's certainly one of the "Best of British" as far as I'm concerned. Just in the first two episodes I doubled over laughing with "Send the Buggers Back" and the "Das Boot" fruit machine going off during the Normandy veteran's memorial.

Just read in the Daily Mirror that he wants to bring back Pheonix Nights. Not sure if it such a good idea - even if all the old cast are back. Best remember it in its heyday.

I know this post was a while ago
But wasn't come & get your black bin bags to the tune of "Men in Black"?

Forget Me Nots came out first, in 1982, then 15 years later Will Smith sampled it.

Phoenix Nights. The antithesis of comedy.

I enjoy this level of contrariness more than I can put into words, but I sure as hell don't understand it.

I think they should really make another series of this.

I Got Some Tickets for this in February 2015 for Christmas, looks great.

Let us all know whether it's any good. I loved both series of Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights plus the season of pilots which launched it. I can't say that I'm a fan of PK's stand up, nor his various talent show parodies.

I saw Dave Spikey hosting the Bullseye revival on Challenge. He's as wooden as a Giant Redwood tree. Saying that, I loved him as Jerry St Clair/Dignan with special mention of his popular 'Free and Easy Night.'
