'Behind Blue Eyes' for me. A tour de force vocal performance and some fantastic lyrics.

A heartbreaking song :)

They're the best kind. :)

Have you heard the version with The Chieftains? Absolutely love it.

Wasn't sure at first, was disappointed; but having left it a few weeks and come back to it, it is indeed top stuff.

Aw. I did love it straight away, but I'm glad it works as a grower too.

Lord Bateman - Chris Wood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-_sy88Ijo0

Chris Wood's singing style really draws out the longing in this song, it's overwhelmingly beautiful to me.

Very nice.

The Who - Love Reign O'er Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDbAtWpoA6k

One of those songs that completely knocks the stuffing out of me. All of the elements of that song just work so perfectly together - Daltrey's visceral singing style, the strings, the rising and falling guitar, and those rolling drums. Heaven in a song.

Ah yeah, now that's some classic Who!
