Anyone watch this?
An Idiot Abroad - Series 3
"F**king machine!"
Not as amusing as the first two series, but still entertaining.
Is this the one with Warwick Davis and Karl Pilkington?
Did Ricky Gervais take up my suggestion of subtitling it "It's 'Not Big' and It's 'Not Clever'"?
It was fun. Loved the balloons.
Karl's dancing!
I've been enjoying this series. DVD comes out on 26/12/12 which is a wednesday. Can that be correct? I always thought DVDs came out on Mondays.
There have been a number of Boxing Day releases in recent years. Matches with the sales.

Some of it was actually kind of good!
I think Warwick improves things, because, by its very nature, their double-act means it can't pretend it's a documentary and pushes it fairly & squarely into mockumentary, which it always was.
It's sort of more honest now and easier to enjoy.
I think Warwick came away looking worse during the conjoined twins scene. Karl treated them like human beings, even with the slightly ignorant questions, whilst Warwick appeared to be slightly put off by the whole thing whilst hiding it under a veil of political correctness. Ricky too jumped in on that, I just think it's a shame that Ricky projects his political correctness without even considering the people he's supposedly defending. Yes, they might be being exploited within their lives but to completely ignore this issue is a much worse thing to do. At least Karl showed some genuine interest and brought it to our attention.
Karl is a f**king grumpy bastard though. He borders on being unlikable, as too is Warwick. He's pretty diva-ish, although I realise he plays that up for comic effect, there's definitely a truth about it shining through.
Karl was fascinated by the bodies being burned, something genuinely interesting and quite bizarre to a Westerner in a way, whilst Warwick pretends to absorb the spiritual majestic side of things. Whilst I think you should appreciate both, I do think Warwick comes away a little false.
But it's hard to judge because we have no idea how much of this series is scripted/staged.
But overall all though, I do like the way Warwick IS treated as an equal, I love the fact that Karl takes the piss out of his size and Warwick takes it in good spirits. That's how it should be, if they went through the whole series mollycoddling Warwick it would have put me right off.
Lots of laugh out loud moments for me.

I agree, Karl came off much better and more genuine there.
But I think Ricky knew that in the edit, if you see what I mean. I don't doubt he saw that Karl came off better and he and Warwick looked a bit mealymouthed. When they're in conversation and he realises that Karl's for once actually made a good point or is in the right, he does usually admit it (grudgingly).
