Roger Whittaker fallen on hard times?

Quote: Harridan @ December 4 2012, 8:12 AM GMT

Hope you have fun, reds!

Thanks. Had a great night. I'm slightly concerned about the mental state of some the audience members but I'm sure they'll be fine.

Talking about mental state . . . .

I was going to post that today I've been signed off for a month with depression.

But having done a search to see if Big D has been mentioned before . . . I don't think I'll bother . . . :|

I offer you an awkward virtual hug.

(Just a one-armed one. Let's not go crazy.)

Still suffering from burnout syndrome myself (was diagnosed about 14 months ago or so) I think I can imagine how you're feeling right now. A friendly hug from me too.

Been there too OR...anyone who hasn't is truly one of life's lucky ones, life can get you down and there's no shame whatsoever in that.
Console

Hugs and emoticons from me too OR

I always view mental and physical illnesses as just that illnesses affecting different parts of the body.
So wish you well and hope whatever treatment regime you're on works out.
Have a full on body grab hug, or a manful punch on the shoulder.
And hang around mate.#
You're a nice guy and there's not many illnesses that respond to talking bollocks with your friends.

Had the last day of my play writing course today and we were allowed to bring booze and crisps into the classroom. Even though I am a proper grown up man, it still felt naughty to drink Stella in the classroom. Now I know how Zammo feels.

We all went to the pub afterwards and I let my 'playwright' mask slip a little bit and revealed my true self. They were shocked and amused. Apparently, I can be just as sexist in real life as I can on the forum. But I'm a cheeky monkey, so was able to get away with it. Plus being the only bloke there under 50 went in my favour.

Sorry to hear that, OR. I'm sure some time away from the pressures of work will help, though. And you've got a forum full of awkwardly proferred cyber-hugs whenever you need one.

Depression totally sucks ass. Luckily, you have the jesters of the BCG to keep you sane and happy! You lucky bastard. ;) :D

Weren't you wearing your 'Like a Fish needs a Bicycle' t-shirt this time round? Guess it's in the wash ready for Friday? ;)

How was the course?

Actually you could lie on your arms until they go numb and pretend your someone else hugging you.

Atach a couple of pillows to your shirt for the EJP experience.

Or a couple of sofa cushions from the Harridan one (apparently)

Sootyj is f**king made up having seen the first draft of the second animated script of his to be filmed.

Sootyj rules that is all.

How was the course?

Thank you for asking. The tutor was excellent and the fellow class people were really talented, but the course itself was a bit of a let down. It was meant to be advanced play writing, but a lot of the stuff covered was basic structure and story telling.

I declared myself to be the best playwright because I was always punctual and never missed a class through sickness. That is how it works, isn't it?

*Refuses to recognise Sootyj and fires rockets at his scripts*

Worked for Shakespeare apparently.

Is far to savy to fall for that.

No way is RCP going to the UN and getting recognised as a none member state with observer status.
