Yea its been eating away at me for all these years, bloody Milton Keynes, I will never go there out of principle. I have an uneasy feeling its going to be a draw Angry

That would be good. Then they could reopen Plough Lane for the replay.

:D

The directors are going to sit with their own fans, I'd love to see the look on MK Dons faces if we beat em, sweet revenge. Then all we need is to knock Liverpool out of the Premiership like they did to us in extra time, and I could die happy, of course that be some time off

And some of the supporters are wearing anti-contamination suits. They're also bringing all their own food and drink so they don't give them more money than they have to.

Quite right too, if the bastards would just drop the Dons we'd be happy.

I think really they should withdraw from the league and start where AFC did.

Incidentally who lists the 1989 FA Cup win in their list of honours?

MK Dons claim the 88 win because according to FA they were wimbledon even though they relocated to MK. AFC didn't form until 2002 and although started by fans were considered a new team.

Sorry. Was it 88? I don't think they can claim it either.

Yea 88, burned into my memory, but it would be. No its more of a moral claim than any claim the FA would ever accept. Still when it was formed we said we did it once we can do it again, and started the slow climb all over again.

I was watching a programme about the charisma of Adolf Hitler the other day and it dawned on me who he reminded me of. Alex Ferguson!

A friend of mine said you can't compare him to that evil dictator. I took his point because Hitler did love his dog.

I seem to recall reading that MK had passed on the cup win to AFC but dob't quote me

EDIT: "Being in law the same business, MK Dons initially claimed the history of Wimbledon F.C. as its own, but stopped doing so in 2007, in part to ensure the recognition of its supporters groups by the Football Supporters Federation, which had previously boycotted the team. Since 2007, the board of MK Dons has maintained that the club is a new one, founded in 2004."

Surely MK Dons keep the honour of the cup win? The team just packed up and moved to Milton Keynes...

Anyway, Michu for 2 million. What a buy. Swansea seem to have come back into form after a little slump.

Yea I just heard from an AFC fan who isn't going to the match, he is meeting up with some other supporters for an event that includes the silverware, so you may be right.

I thought the silverware was given to the Borough of Merton, and not AFC, as AFC is basically a new club.

It still stinks though. Aside from folding (which might be better in some circumstances), the only club that got raped more was SV Salzburg.

Merton council do have the silverware, but according to my mate this meeting this afternoon will include the silverware as part of a charity event being ran by those boycotting the game. As it stands neither can claim the Wimbledon FC history as both are considered new clubs.

Something is really rotten at Arsenal at the moment and I can see a full scale revolt by the fans if things don't change soon. It's becoming increasingly obvious that the board is in it for the money only and are milking the fans for all they're worth.

This isn't just about fair weather, glory hunting fans wanting a trophy, it's about a systemic and regular dismantling of the squad to make money from transfers.

Theo Walcott is our top scorer and arguably one of our best players, but if Arsenal flog him in the January transfer window, then I think we're going to see the shareholders force a change of management at the club.
