N.B. If you haven't, to heighten your viewing pleasures pretend the spoilt bunch of nobs having a party at the beginning are the cast of Friends.
Then delight as Ross, Monica et al, get trodden on, eaten, and explode.
Possibly whistle "I'll be there for you" over closing credits.
I thought it was good although jittery camcorder feel to it may not appeal to everyone. Was that a nuclear bomb at the end?
Its better than Sweeney Todd in my opinion but then I'm not a big fan of musicals apart from Oliver or Bugsy Malone.
i suspect it is they certianly built up to it, liked the monster, but was sorry they didn't use the original whale on stilts idea
I have also seen Cloverfield, I'm kind of on the bench about it, it was a good film but the end annoyed me, until I read this morning there will be a sequel, with the same storyline but from a different persons perspective, which has a practically endless life too it, but lets hope Hollywood don't milk it for all it's worth.

I saw this reviewed on Film 2008 thingy with Jonathan Ross last week. Looked interesting, but I don't think that I could sit through two hours (or whatever it is) of shaking camerawork. I'll give it a go when it comes to TV, but not sure I'd be able to sit through the whole thing.

I will say one thing: Lizzy Caplan. 
My 3 biggest complaints of this movie were:
#1 The Jittery camera; it made me sick what can I say.
#2 The very annoying guy carrying the camera. I have not watched a movie with a character who annoyed me so much since Jurassic Park 3. I kept just hoping he would die soon. If he was so concerned for his friends or himself he should have just put down the FREAKING camera.
#3 You don't get to see the ________ enough. (for those who have seen the movie or heard anything about it know what the ______ is.

I didn't find the camera work THAT annoying, the character did get on my nerves, he was totally out of place in that movie in so many ways, he was the "comic relief" but all I really want to do was punch his chubby little face.
