I stuck with it for Stephen Dillane, mostly. The main actress' bizarre accent was really starting to drive me mad - I assumed she was European but she's actually Australian and just terrible at accents. The ending didn't resolve any of the mysteries of the series, and actually chucked in a bunch more for fun. Such a let down.

Is that the one with the girl off Home and Away?

I get Hunted mixed up with Homeland and also there's some army wife drama called Homefront as well.
Bloody confusing.

As a non-book learning type, the only other James Herbert novel to screen translation I've seen is Dune. I quite enjoyed it - particularly the set design and costumes - but apparently the fans of the book were having eppys.

Frank Herbert wrote Dune. And yes I enjoyed the film, then read the book and realised what a missed opportunity it was. The TV series was marginally better.

She looks like a poor man's poor man's idea of a poor man's idea of a good looking woman.

I guess on one hand it's nice that someone ordinary looking is voted best looking, rather than someone who looks like a Barbie doll. But on the other hand, I don't know why so many people like her! Personality wise she's a total numpty, always trying to sound so street and stuff. And she keeps coming out with all these sayings she's made up that don't mean anything. The Female Boss? What is that??

She looks grubby, in fact if there was ever a better match to the phrase, mutton dressed as lamb.
