Hi everybody. I don't know where to ask this, but I'm thinking this is a good place.
Does anyone know of places that do open mic night in Nottingham? This August specifically.
Thank you!
Have a look here, http://www.funhousecomedy.co.uk/index.htm
I believe that Spiky Mike runs a "friendly" gong show in Nottingham once a month, you get 2 minutes grace but then can be gonged off, think you get up to 5 minutes.
Thank you for the fast reply Unfortunately, it says the Gong-like show is in Sept. And since I'm in Nottingham only during Aug, that wouldn't be much help.
Anyone know of anywhere in Birmingham?
Hi there, any open mic events going on? Depending on dates, I'm happy to travel
Cheers
Anybody know of any comedy clubs in Cambridge where I could get an open spot on either a Saturday or Sunday night?
Hi Open Micers,
I wanted to let you know that I have just launched a global open mic contest online with a $5000 prize. http://www.fiveminuteslive.com
Cheers,
Adrian
I found it hard to find places to start out in comedy. Ended up doing the King Gong show at The Comedy Store in London last month. It's a bear pit but you learn fast! I'm trying to put on an evening for beginners/newcomers to try their hand/material. Hopefully it will be on the 12th November in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. Anyone interested in having a go, contact me on laff@mail.com

Great place to start is the Roadhouse on Lifford Lane, Stirchley. Jamie Tipping is the organiser. You can find him on https://www.facebook.com/jamieleetipping?fref=ts
He's a sweetheart. Give him my love - I used to gig there every week before I moved to Devon.
