Dettori is always a good bet though, come rein or shine.

*note to Wikipedia and all the media who've copied therefrom: it's Lianfranco, not Lanfranco*

Re that terrible Pingl/Cyril Smith gag - it'll be Giant Haystacks next.

Haven't you heard? "They're all at it together."

Apparently they're even digging the dirt on Bruce Lee - I reckon he's next for the chop.

My money is on Lord Reith, he's been dead longest.

When's he running?

2.30 at haydock, 5 to 1 on, although he probably won't get in until ten to six.

I once backed a horse on the nose - it's still running.

In many ways the story of my life :$

There was once a horse called Potoooooooo pronounced potatoes.
Not a joke, just an obscure fact.

They tested that horse for doping too, because it was mashed.

A man who dresses up as a giraffe and carries out random acts of kindness towards people across Scotland has said he does it to feel good.

I might be tempted to run like Hell if somebody dressed like a giraffe made a beeline for me. :O

I love the Kevin Bridges anecdote.

Bit of a weird one, a woman who was killed as a protestor had her face plastered all over the news, except it wasn't her face, it was someone else who is still alive.

The real tragedy of this event is that the protestor who was killed was facially much hotter then the one who lived. Down with Iran!

Is it me or won't children in need be a bit awkward in light of recent events, the elephant in the room. Or am I just being cynical and we should get on with a worthy charity event?
