I have fond memories of Tandy. I remember the toys scattered around the floor, free to play on. Massive remote control cars and stuff like that. Awesome

Oh yes, loved Borders. Though hardly ever bought stuff from there; always very pricey. Prob didn't help them with trying to stay in business. Mainly went in to look about.

There was a Sci Fi shop in Ilford that sold Doctor Who stuff & had an actual Dalek in there.

Did it have an escalator in it? I used to love going to the Woolies in Workington as it had an escalator up to the toy section. Simple pleasures!
