I would say the sketch is fine, nothing needs to be added or taken away. Would like to see Brand perform this.
For me, I find it very easy to separate comedy from reality so am not offended by the sketch at all.

I'm with frankie, for me it takes the piss out of Brand and the awful idea of a film not poor maddie.
I like the sketch, fine as it is but you could extend it if you liked with other actors/celebs. Perhaps do two more (rule of three and all that).
Not wishing to seem a bore but hey, I'm obviously a bore...
To me, this little girl is off limits so far as 'comedy' is concerned.
What's funny about the scenario that people can think to make 'jokes' about her?
IMHO it's cheap and offensive.
I'm sure it's not meant to be, though.
I'm with the rage on this one. Jokes about this are out there already being performed. It is a Russell Brand/celeb piss take and I would take it further to call in Paul Gadd [Gary Glitter] as the next up for audition. Even harder, not on the little girl but Celebs in my humble opinion.

It all goes to show that you can believe anything you want to believe.
Frighteningly good AJP!
i'm kinda glad to have kicked over the termite mound on controversial subjects,
but any chance on some feedback on my other bits?
was reading somewhere that the job of the court jester was to tell the king what he needed to know but others were frightened to say.
so come on put on your silly hats, and ring your bells, you have nothing to lose but your heads

You hung up the Mod hat for a reason no?
I can see your reasoning, and actually the sketch is quite amusing as it's more a dig at Russell Brand than Maddie. BUT - and notice the bigness of the but - you've got more chance of getting 2 Girls 1 Cup on the telly than you have of getting this sketch on. Maddie is absolutely off-limits in comedy and will be for a very long time, perhaps even forever. And actually, I think deservedly so. You have to imagine how the parents would feel seeing that on tv. No joke is worth that sort of heartache.
And anyway, re-reading it - why does it have to be Maddie-related? Surely the joke here is that Russell Brand is auditioning his cock to play a part in a movie. Maybe the joke could be that the part being auditioned for is Tom Cruise's stunt-double. After all, he's short and a bit cheesey too.

Has he been stripped of his powers!
it's the double standards i seek to mock, but i appreciate will probably fail at
n.b. news revue regularly do stuff on the case (albeit in far worse taste than me i like to think)
was partialy inspired by an exelent charlie brooker article on the subject, about how all 24 hours news shows were showing the same door in portugal
the thing that bugs me is that if this isn't acceptable then neither are jokes about mohammed the bear, or britney spears mental illness
it's like that exelent episode of southpark, either it's all ok, or none of it is
the maddy case is tragic beyond words, but it does illustrate a media fixated hypocrisy in our society
humor doesn't have to be about mockery, sometimes it's about illumination, and i'm jsut trying to show what a dodgy idea the film is
and please some feedback on my other stuff before i become mr dodgy, the maker of dodgy jokes, in the land of dodginess
