No it's definitely not a children's show

They have to edit the shit out of it when they show it during the day

Oh I see, there are times when I feel totally out of touch. My daughter watches it all the time, I have seen bits of it between the pages of my newspaper.

My kids love this, I can't stand it, is it a childrens show? mutters the pompous old git Angry

Not a kids show, but teenagers would proberly like it. It is a sitcom about four guys who who work at university. There is also a fe female characters who are their friends or girlfriends.

Well I usually loathe american shows like this

Friends? Puke

But this show is different

IMO it's the greatest us sitcom in history

You should give it a go

I will, but it may provoke more laughter from my daughter than the show does

Apart from the fact that they are nerds/geeks, the second biggest theme is about sex. But not in the same way something like Friends would've done it around relationships. It's more just about getting laid. Some of the language is quite surprising for a show that airs throughout the day. If Mary Whitehouse type were to scrutinize it enough, I'd doubt it would even be on before the watershed.

Hang on my daughter watches this? I think I'll tell her its great and laugh a lot, that should put her off it for life.

There's coitus going on all over the place!

I think they are setting up those characters as a double act, maybe in Glasgow. Redmand and Armstrong are both leaving. I must say I thought the departure of Alun Armstrong struck its death knell, but after that one it may have some legs after all.

I didn't know that Armstrong and Redmond were leaving. To be honest Waterman is the one who is looking a bit too old and paunchy to carry on.

Are there any more episodes with Armstrong and Redmond planned - it would be a bit odd if the last (scheduled) episode was which focussed mainly on Strickland's backstory.

As far as I understand they are leaving either during or at the end of the next series.

Cheers. After initially being lukewarm I have come to really like this show, though that may just be a measure of how shit everything else is.

M*A*S*H...the movie
