Merthyr on the orient express?

Pembroke back mountain?

Black Swansea?

Green Cardiff?

Minority Newport?

A fish called Rhonda?

Just saw the Steve Farrell end of the world movie it was ace

I wasn't a big Evan Almighty fan myself.

The world doesn't end in that.

More's the pity.

I did feel the world was ending by the 3rd beard joke.

Caught the last 20 minutes of the Dara O'Briainiaanaeee (however you spell it) live science crap on BBC 2.

Why is it live? Why all the stilted silences and awkward camera angles? What's the point of this dumb downed bollox? Who commissioned this bilge?

To cover up it is sub primary school science and vacuous in the extreme, like bloody Andrew Marr's concise history of the world in eight easy parts starring every bloody extra in equity. Beyond dumb verging on patronising

Here's the weird bit, they probably made this 'user friendly' crap to try and encourage kids to get interested in science. But if you meet any scientist and ask what inspired them, they all say 'Star Trek'.

The BBC should invest more money in great science fiction programmes. That's my excuse anyways and not because I'm a massive nerd-a-thon from planet geek.

But who's it meant for, not kids on to late. I learnt everything I know about science from Dr Who and Joe 90. The BBC hates Science Fiction that's why they cancelled Time Cop bastards

That certainly is true.

I understand Stargate SG1 is the inspiration behind 90% of the people working at Blockbusters.

Saw Skyfall today

It was an eyeful and also a little bit of a trifle

Overall not bad bit of entertainment if a little bit silly in places

and quite amused to see Bond had been Savilled as a young man.

Moneyball. Very good. A possibly the only decent film ever about management.

Some parts looked amazing.

I did find myself a little ungripped at times though.
