Best comedy prop of all time

What's the best use of an inanimate object that has ever been used to make people laugh, ever in the whole thing of stuff ever.

I liked Nigel Hawthorne in The Knowledge when he stuck a nasal pump up each nostril (tusklike) while rapid fire questioning a wannabee cabbie on his knowledge test, without missing a beat. Brilliant.

The cattle prod in the Bottom episode "Terror"?

A plank???

No, actually, it's a piano.

Bloody hell, that's a good question.

A plank is definitely a good one as is Harpo's horn.

I rather like Tim Vine's box of bic biros...

Rod Hull's fake arm on Lee and Herring.

Father Jack's brick on a string which he throws at Ted's head. (violence does seem to make me laugh)

"You're over-ruling the coin?"

"The coin isn't the boss of me Jeremy..."

Edit: Actually, nah... Merchant's pen in Extras.

Dead Parrot - obviously

The till in open all hours was pretty talented.

Fawlty's branch.

The bath mechanism in Black Books

The Club biscuit mistaken for a mobile in Psychoville.

A bermb :)
