I've had a bit of modest success doing on line writing; content, press releases, sketches for rodeo clowns, jokes about roofs and now in production a book about poohing.
Modest enough success to think about taking a 6 month sabbatical from my day job and focus on actually doing some fun writing.

Since you talk about getting presentation and spelling right it might be an idea to break the paragraphs up a little clearer and get someone to check it over for errors (there are a fair few).
It was nicely presented but the site kills that when you cut and paste.
I'll do it again.
Then someone else will find something else to criticise.

I'm looking at it on your site. It would read way better if it wasn't one gigantic block of text. I know you've created a new line for paragraphs but a space between them will do wonders.

Just checked again and the whole thing is now a mess. I'd recommend going back to your original format rather than turning each sentence into two paragraphs.
Its perfectly readable for a blog post which is all it truly is.
