Can you name the funniest person ever to come from your neck of the woods?
For me the funniest ever Scouser was Leonard Rossitter.
Taken from a basic stage play the character Rigsby is a gem that never needs polishing thanks to him.
For me it merged Mainwaring with Bilko and Norman Stanley with Basil Fawlty and was so clever it was ignorant.
Have you a local comedy hero who are they and why are they?

Don't get me wrong, there are some comedians who hate London and refused to move down here. Um, Bernard Manning springs to mind - you can have him then, you bunch of six fingered parochial regional bumpkins.

Not really all thanks to him. He was brilliant though and not just as Rigsby.
