German scientists found the link between smoking and cancer in the 1930's. The Nazi's banned all smoking in public buildings and planned a full blanket ban after the war.
Nelson never wore an eye patch. One eye was badly damaged but looked normal. The statue in Trafalgar Square has no eye patch. It was only after his death that artists added the eye patch.

That's what they're trying to do in Switzerland at the moment...or Basel to be more precise. Ban smoking...not the Holocaust.

In the last QI episode we learned that elephants have only two knees but also two ELBOWS! That's an amazing fact...but I don't know how that's gonna help me if an elephant family stampedes all over me.
