Idea I have been working on BOB BAGHEAD

I am a nationally published photographer,i am also a videographer, and an art fiend with a good sense of humour.

I created a character for a music video about the perversion the TV has on simple society. The band was a fluke and thus the character lie dormant in my mind for several years. Just this last year I was looking through my photographs and look at this character and just get a flood of ideas for this character. Almost episode by episode, so I began taking notes on my phone, or a receipt or any desperate scrap I could write on.

My dilemma is that I am a visual artist, not a screen writer, I in vision scenes and action not dialog. However with the proper guidance I learn things quickly. I have several stand up comedians, a great team of artist, and a film production crew. I just need to learn what to do with my ideas and how to format them so here it is EAT ME ALIVE I have the critic skin of a blue whale.

WHAT IS BAGHEAD?

BAGHEAD! (a foreign perspective that humourously highlights the
satirical pitfalls of American society, Plays on the arrogance, mal
habits, and pop cultural parodies, that most commonly dumb down our
society. From the perspective of enlightened ones like , ourselves who
realize that there really is something amiss)

WHY DO THE CHARACTERS HAVE A GROCERY SAC ON THEIR HEADS?

(Referance#1)( http://youtu.be/uSPsTvPdyQg )(referance#2)( http://youtu.be/sDeA1_mKffY )(Referance)Please watch these to

short links to understand the principal concept most clearly. Basically it is a Alien parasitic entity that's controls ones

mind(and they fit into society like a quarky foreigner)

CHARACTERS; HOW WILL THIS BE ORIGINAL?

In my opinion when any sitcom is produced, its seems to be based around one specific character set. My Idea is to keep this

more progressive. The parasitic bag that attaches to ones head will provide us the means for transport between vast

character boards, instead of always being attached to say 5 specific characters.

(((Pilot Episode Ideas!)))

(#1)"Tampon instructional installation video"

Mrs.Tapon is styled similar to MRS DOUBT FIRE. Her and her BagHead indie film crew, are looking to help guide young women through the stress and embarrassment of menstruation. From the primary perspective of the scenes indie production crew.CLIMAX is a camera an under the dress view of tampon instillation, and upon removal surgical tubing is ran under the dress running from an industrial fire extinguisher full of fake blood. We hit the lever and boom the indie (under the dress shot) camera man baghead is covered in a Quentin Tarantino styled blood spray.

(#2)"HOW'S IT MADE?: Tours Hebrew international Hot DOG co."

(a parody on the Tv show "How its Made" and the idea that hot dogs are unhealthy enough do they really need to be
KOSHER. Rabbi Obadiah Bahha shows us how their wieners come out uncircumcised, and how a circumcision ceremony and
blessing is provided before each WIENER is packaged and shipped.

(#3)"The Cooking cockroaches feat Mr. White"
(a cooking show where the flashy cooking wear salesman Mr. White teaches his audience to make Madagascar Gumbo a
dish featuring Madagascar cockroaches! But wait he can't finish the dish until he has found them all, and diced Or wait was it pureed them hmm good question.

Hi there. I think you need to work on your pitch; it's very confusing. I was intrigued enough to watch the first "reference" but that left me more confused.

It might help to understand the audience you are aiming it at. Age etc, what other shows do you imagjne rhe audience like. The tampon example feels tasteless - perhaps that is where you're at - but that would certainly limit who might be interested in it as a sitcom.

If I were you I'd abandon the idea of a pitch altogether. You have your idea, you have your people and you have your means - why are you waiting on someone else to give you a green light?

The idea you have is too bizarre that anyone is realistically going to bankroll your sitcom, particularly as a first-time writer. For this to even be considered for TV you're going to need to prove it's entertaining, and that's something you're going to have to make it happen yourself.

Take these bag heads for example...

The only reason they got this on the box was because they'd already proven themselves a draw with a multi-million hit YouTube vid. Go shoot yours and see what it does for you.

thank you for your critic Lippy, and David. I agree with both of you on my organization. My only unanswered thought, would be how to approach dialogue. The way in which I have designed every thing the action is meant to be funny, and I need the dialogue to embrace the action and enhance it. I am Dialog dumb. I don't know if there is a helpful format, or process of organization etc. Are there any tutorials that are helpful for comedic dialog.

Libby I appreciate your critic, however I can't help but not worrying about being a little tasteless on somethings. I look at things like South park and if my sitcom was a 10th that successful I would be well pleased. My reason for not wanting on specific character set, is to be able to be versatile with my audience. There are some instances where I want the episodes to be a drama, thriller, gross comedy, satire, parody, black comedy, public reaction reality. With baghead being a alien parasite it allows me to move freely to different people and how baghead when infected will affect their personalities.

David I found your critic more helpful. Bizarre is good to me. To me it means I am on track to being original. People are either going to be scared away or intrigued. I am just nervous. My plan is to launch a bag head website, and hit YouTube and vimeo at the same time. I just want to be honed and polished, no cracks in my concrete, strong foundation. I want everything to be flawless. I need to be able to have a seamless production plan, and script . I am doing all this on a tiny budget so, I still have to pitch the idea to local writers, actors, comedians, etc. We are filming on the RED SCARLET so actual production is going to go great!
