Laughing out loud I liked this but good luck getting it performed

Yes it is certainly high risk of offending eh.
Velly Good though!

So I'm guessing this is why you asked where the line was, Joel?
Then can we expect a holocaust sketch from you next?

Maddy McCanne

Minor point, but I'd spell the girl's name right. ;)

Too right, show some respect Rolling eyes

correct spelling is for nazis, and serial killers

as for holocaust jokes, there's a long and honourable tradition of them, watch "schindlers lis" and look for the moments that are done obviously for humerous purposes, there's a lot, and they help make probably the most humane and engaging film about the holocaust

similarly the inferior "life is beautiful"

there is a sharp difference between racist jokes and mocking racism

in my case i foind what happened to maddy horribly tragic, and the comments about her parents prurient and nasty

it doesn't mean that i don't consider the vile media circus surrounding the events to be a ripe subject for mockery

comedy should be anger, satire should be about well aimed anger

ps I am dyslexic I spend a fair bit of time correcting my submissions, sorry I don't always get it right

Laughing out loud SlagA's going to feel guilty

I always feel guilty but now I have a reason to feel guilty. :)

I love Schindler's List btw

Never mind slag! Can't be right all the time :P

no worrys but did you actually like the skit and if not why not?

n.b. the bbc won't forgive me for bad spelling so don't let me off the hook to quickly!

Woah, Joel I think you misunderstand me.

In your post you mentioned Maddy, then the holocaust. Then you posted a (this) Maddy sketch, which is why I asked if a holocaust sketch would follow. Simple as that, no digs intended mate.

none taken, I suppose my interest has always been in that subtle dark line that marks the humor that troubles, challenges, and still amuses

i call 'em fugu jokes, as in the poisonous fish used in potentially lethal sushi

apparently it's only good if there's just enough venom to make your lips twitch, but not enough to kill

did you like the actual sketch, and can it be improved?

As I mentioned in that very post, jokes concerning Maddy are a little bit rich for me.
Lines like 'You’re not my daddy where are you taking me' make it hard for me to laugh at anything that comes after.
Anyway, that's an opinion I wouldn't normally have expressed, but you just asked me for it.

However, I am about to bump a sketch of yours that I just read and did like a lot. You will see.
