Inspired by the Stones/Tickets thread I'm asking you which is your favourite Stones album for the desert island? Why and which songs make this your favourite.
Funnily enough for a big rock fan I didn't own a Stones album before the recently remastered Exile.
I loved Bowie, Costello, New Order, Yes, Santana, Curved Air, Free (I'm not being one of those smartarses but Alright Now - although it introduced them to me - is one of my least favourite tracks of theirs.), Faces, Family, Killers, Imelda May Teardrop Explodes, Echo & the Bunnymen, Blondie, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Love, Small Faces, Supertramp, Bebop Deluxe... the list goes on. I hope this gives you an idea of my tastes but my favourite genre in Blues - R & B as it used to be in the 1960s.

And not to forget the first P.I.L. album. This was still (art) punk music (listen to "Public Image" and "Annalisa"...not experimental dance pop as in later years.
I had the Metal Box but it was unplayable. I kept taking it back but I'm sure they just gave me the same copy again.
