Perry, loving your other stuff. Like David, I thought this was a little familiar to the very same LofG sketch, especially the missing stock subject matter.
Voices and production were rock solid. Although maybe the reverb was a touch heavy on the victim's voice (if I remember right)
Cheers Slag. (Feels funny calling you that - I usually keep that special term of endearment for the wife) Yep you're absolutely right, it is very similar to TLOG'S "Pop" character and as you say, a very specific sketch where Pop admonishes his sons for losing stock, so it's a non-starter really. I enjoyed doing it though and thought I'd post. Funny how everyone on here's saying the ice cream gags aren't funny though - the folks at Channel 4 singled them out as some of the best material they'd had in ages. Still, horses for courses and the sketch is dead because of the resemblance to Pop anyway.

Hi Perry
Everthing I've read of yours so far has been quality, and this is no exception - loved it. Your humour and style are right up my street and I look forward to reading/hearing more from you. I do agree that the feast was the wrong choice (devoid of 'k's as it is), but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Hey cheers Ian, you're very kind!

Hi Perry.
For me, the (sweet) meat of it wasn't so funny. It felt like a retread of a very similar League of Gentlemen sketch where a greek father disowns his son over a packet of sweets stolen from the family corner shop.
The gun gag at the end was righteous though, and the performance and background touches top notch. I particularly liked the way the victim's Italian accent occasionally slipped into your own.
Hah cheers David - yes it is an unintentional Pop rip-off, and so the sketch is dead to me. Let us speak of it no longer.
Glad you liked my hybrid Sicilian / Geordie accent though. I meant to do that. Honest.
