Friday Night Dinner - Series 2 Page 4

How can anyone, except a child, laugh at two teenage boys squabbling over a cuddly toy? The mind boggles.
On the other hand, I remember about five decades ago, splitting my sides laughing at 'Carry On Sargeant'. I laughed so much I was still laughing at the bus stop. Being eight months pregnant I couldn't hold myself and had to pee were I stood and made a nice yellow ring in the snow. About five/six years ago it was on TV and I so looked forward to it......it didn't even raise a chuckle and I wondered what on earth I had found funny in it before. Our humour must alter as we age :D

Nowthat's funny

Sorry

But its almost petfect bathos

Why? What was so funny about the bus stop?

It wasn't Friday Night Dinner.

'Carry On Sargeant'.

Um, Carry On Sergeant. Whistling nnocently

(can I have a swear now please?)

I think you'll find that this is the British Comedy forum. So don't be too surprised if someone makes a joke about something you've said. My joke was not offensive or vicious, it was a light-hearted observation based on your choice of words. If you had phrased it differently I wouldn't have said anything.

So chill the f**k out and don't get nasty.

Tosspiece.
