I love the show but as for the Stand-up stuff, well, it kind of leaves me cold. I was watching the pilot and part of the act was about laundry and socks which put me in mind of something that Eddie Izzard did. I thought his was funny while Seinfeld just left me cold. As I say, love the show but not the stand-up.

His stand-up is very observational. I have one of his shows and he talks about peanuts on air planes typa thang. He's good, but the show is so much better.
I think he's good. My favourite is when he's talking about horse racing.
The stand up leaving me the same Baumski, the show is fantastic and it works which is strange becuase usually its the reverse when standups do tv shows.
He's the best at what he does - observational comedy.
He makes it look easy, and it's a shame his humour is an easy target (every US how must have done a 'Have you ever noticed' Seinfeld spoof. This, in itself, doesn't work because the Seinfeld sitcom did it loads of times)
His delivery, pacing and timing are second to none.
So yes, he is
I haven't seen all that much of his stand-up.

Eddie has toned that right down lately
At his best Izzard was very good, though the last DVD I saw was a bit poor.
He's done at least one classic set I reckon.
By the way, nice profile picture, Gav. As for Eddie Izzard, I think his Mrs Badcrumble stuff is brilliant. One of his best.

Yes, Seinfeld is a good stand up, as was Eddie Izzard; at least in the nineties. I have a cd of Seinfeld doing stand up and its very good stuff.
