Steve Irwin spoof character?

Who was the character in a sketch show who would be enthusing over something in different terrains but as he knelt down would inadvertently display his scrotum etc.??? Please help as this is driving both my girlfriend and I crazy!

Bob Mortimer! On Monkey Trousers.

Aww thanks and I thought it was but apparently the character was more subtle and all the camera crew are aware of his appendage, all except him... Was it Kevin Bishop or Peter Serafinowicz?

Ooh, Serafinowicz does ring a bell. Although so does Kevin Bishop now. Hmm...

The Kevin Bishop Show certainly sounds plausible, but having skipped through a few episodes I can't find it. I remember the sketch series you're talking about but can't quite picture with enough clarity to work out where it's from. From what vague picture my memory is painting, I would have gone more Bear Grylls than Steve Irwin, if that's any help. Uhhh...

Wasn't it on a Channel 4 variety style show that featured live stand-up and sketches?

Fast Show? Simon Day character?

Was it Australian and more like a documentary than a sketch show?

G'day, and welcome to That's Amazing, with me Carl Hooper!

I think this could be from the 90s BBC2 Scottish sketch show Pulp Video.
The running sketch featured Greg Hemphill from Still Game as the presenter who kept 'popping out of his shorts'. Twas very funny.
