Looking for advice, idea in its barest form

Me and a friend have come up with an idea, and we're considering making it more than a script, but we thought it would be sensible to have some new eyes look over it and give us an outside opinion. It's a sitcom idea, following the story of 3 men who share a flat, and one day, one of them comes home with a goat. It follows their various adventures with the goat (we're considering one of those pygmy ones you can keep as pets), and how they sort of live with it. This is basically the result of 5 minutes of conversation, so it's subject to change, but does anyone have any suggestions about how we could structure it, or improve it (or scrap it, if it's that bad!).

What's the goat's name...?

You'll need a script before it can be more than a script, and for that you'll need to think about more than the hook/novelty.

You may want to look into legal issues regarding filming with animals before making a goat one of the stars.

I do initially like the idea of an updated version of Three Men and a Baby but with a goat. But you need to do a lot more research into what makes a sitcom, if you're not aware already.

Although the goat-based puns are already coming to mind, so you might be onto something here

And his catchphrase is.
