Yeah Ellie!! How dare you discuss things on a discussion forum!!

Very sad.
:(

Do you think he had anything planned for his funeral?
What with him being a practical joker......after all he loved to laugh.

Laughing out loud

I'm packing to move house - I don't have enough time to google it!

Now I know why you didn't want to tell me - none of you could spell it!

What about when David Brent makes a joke about his hand, in The Office?

Awful programme. Never managed tow atch through an entire episode, so entirely possible I haven't seen any of that one at all.

They will mourn deeply for him and his family in America. Apparently the Beadles were once huge there.

*shakes head*

You need a better browser then. Can't take very long to type "news.bbc.co.uk" either. :P

What, pneumonia? Leukemia? Easily spellable, luv! ;)

Sad. Some of the pranks were hilarious. I remember 2 blokes being told they were being trained as salesmen (in an American style) and being goaded nto dropping their trousers and shouting in unison, 'Howdy dudey, I'm yer man!'.

I never really understood the hatred everyone seemed to have for Beadle. Even more confusing was why 'Beadle's About' was cancelled. Wasn't it getting about 18 million viewers (or was that Noel Edmonds?)
The ironic thing is that people like Ant and dec, and Ashton Kucher still play Beadle-esque pranks today, and nobody complains.

It's usually sad for families when one of their relations dies, so condolences to his family, but I never understood why anyone rated him as a presenter and his programmes were decidedly 'lard/pleb fodder'.

Well I think he was great at what he did. He made a lot of adults and kids laugh.

He made a living from making people laugh, even though it wasn't him getting the laughs. Not a bad way to make a living.

I'm going to hold a minute's silence in my bedroom.

hear hear! Jolly sad I was to hear about Jez, a really nice bloke I understand too. Hadn't seen him about for a while but I'll miss him now he's gone.
