Janet and Joyce (No idea where this is going)

So tonight I started writing this for some reason. Very short so far but it's a start.

I'm not a writer, or at least, I don't put myself forward as one. I do love writing, however, I'm usually a musician so this is all quite new to me. I've never written much before. Not even sure if this would be considerd funny, or just grim, although it made me laugh writing it and I'm pretty proud of some of the lines, especially "Traffic up to here", and "They want to do something about this weather" (both based loosely on things my Grandma has said. She's pretty much a gold mine of expressions being used in the wrong context.)

I've been watching a LOT of Julia Davis lately, Human Remains and Nighty Night etc. I really love the darkness of her work and the viciousness of some of her characters and I do see these sorts of women everywhere. In Starbucks, on the bus etc. I have a feeling this could get pretty dark if I keep writing.

I guess I'm looking for someone to confirm whether this has potential to go anywhere, and whether it's actually funny. I really loved writing it though. Hope this has been posted in the right place! I'm hopeless at forums.

Thanks :)

There is not a lot to go on, but what was there came across as a realistic conversation if that helps.
