This is just sweeping generalisations alongside barely concealed venom.
This is a comedy site poking fun and sending people up is one thing but I'm afraid you're heading toward ranting on this issue.

That's Renegade!
So many times I've come into this thread and went out again. In anger. I always bite and yet I know it's meant to provoke reactions.
*walks out again*

This is the General Discussion area, where we are allowed to discuss issues of a non-comedy related bent. (I said bent!)
If I want to allude to the negative side of mass immigration in Europe, talk about how 77% of the women giving birth in Newham are not born in the UK, how the murder and crime rates in Scandanavia sky rocketed after the EU opened borders in 1992 or the disproportionate amount of muslim men in UK jails, then I am free to do so - as long as I'm being factual.
It does not make me a racist or a bigot or xenophobic, just as ignorning these matters makes everyone else a saint. It is incredibly easy to take the liberal 'head in the sand' stance on serious issues, but it does irk me when people start bleating about Anders Breivik and the prominence of the far right in Europe without realising that one factor has given rise to the other.
Personally I'd like to emmigrate, but I don't think any bugger would have me. how does this illegal stuff work, the Bahamas here I come.

Well said!
On a positive note about the Newham birth facts - it looks therefore like the % will drop as the next generation (who were born here - of the 77%) give birth as 'British-born'.
All these foreign criminals coming over here though and taking a huge chunk our good honest criminals' market share - plus benefits too no doubt. When it was pointed out there was a disproportionate number of white people in Midsomer murders there was a public outcry by the do-gooders - and matters have been attended to. Perhaps the same thing should happen in reverse with our prison system if there is a disproportionate amount of Muslims? I mean that just not fair is it?
What's it coming to if a good old-fashioned, seasoned, British-born. dyed-in-the-wool lag can't get shacked up, as usual, in nice warm clink this winter because of some Muslim whose effectively taken his place by committing, let's say, some minor misdemeanor of blowing up a train or two?
The old boy's going to then get some kind of poxy community service - meaning he'll be sleeping in some piss-stenched doorway, swaddled in The Evening Standard and sucking on discarded KFC breastbones instead of tucking into his Christmas nosh in chokey with the rest of the boys! All the time those Muslims will be lapping it up in their Mecca-facing cells, whilst smearing the walls with their own faeces and issuing death threats to French cartoonists (what the f**ks up with our cartoonists these days? Can't we lambast any longer?)
Come to think of it I bet Christmas is now banned in prison owing to the influx of these Muslim criminals - who effectively steal accommodation from our own salt-of-the-earth lags.
I'm sure many a Championship League footballer suffers similarly. I mean, but for all these fancy dan foreign posers cluttering up the Premier league, our boys would be turning out for Liverpool and Man City instead of Blackpool and Hull City. Like the old lag - they've had their noses pushed out by Johnny Foreigner too.
No bloody wonder Anders Breivik did what he did!
Ok, if we ignore that he totally f**ked up the Norwegian camping scene (plus I hear that Oslo city guides are a bit thin on the ground too) then we have one pretty pissed off guy.
Pretty ironic as the tactics he employed as a kind of 'protest' (f**k me - some protest!) were copied directly from those he felt ill towards.
Bring back the birch I say! Put'em all in a box and send 'em home! National Service!
So now it's understandable why people like Breivik did what he did, just "because one factor gave rise to another"? So he can't contain himself, or God forbid, act like a human being?
There comes a time when you have to assume people know they're talking absolute bollocks and leave them to it.

For the last time, it is not a Flying Island Fortress. It is your mum's basement.

There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

I think you got my point . .
Quote: Renegade Carpark @ September 20 2012, 9:02 PM BSTSo, we need a policy to tell women from countries with high mortality rates to stop having so many children?
Hmm, perhaps we could introduce a Chinese style financial penalty for having more then three kids or maybe even just a financial assessment of their situation. If they can afford to raise x number of children out of their own pockets, then we could issue them a license for that number and no more.
Or in the case of Newham, we can say 'whatever' and spend loads of money building more hatch chambers and let them outbreed everyone in the area.
We've got an aging population and the only way to have enough workers to support the economy is with immigration. Unless we have a policy saying couples have to have at least (x) children.
Also will people from countries with high mortality rates continue to have children at the same rates when they're in a country with low mortality rates after a few generations? British people had large families when we had a high mortality rate too, that wasn't very long ago at all.

But I can't be pooped.
