I bumped into Sammy on the underground once. Also walked past Chappers in Brighton a few years ago.

She happened to be buying a gift for someone from my exact workplace! We were both a bit confused I think.

I've got back from London. I did that usual thing where I walk all round the West End and get aching feet.

Billwill has been at a drinkie meetup at the Cafe-in-the-Crypt, of his old cronies from his old Boarding School.

Ah, I've always meant to go to that cafe.

All these exciting things people have done today! While I've sat on my arse in front of the computer.

Ah, I've always meant to go to that cafe.

The lovely 20 year old Russian step daughter of one of our members noticed the floor was tomb-stones and said it was creepy to make a café on top of those dead people.

Ooooooooh!

It is a bit creepy, but at least they're spending their eternity in a fun busy place, not a boring empty graveyard.

Cafe-in-the-crypt? Sounds a blast, so I'll check it out one day.

Not my status but the wife's. Last night she made the final five of the Peterborough Poet Laureate competition. They didn't stage it last year but in 2010 she was runner-up.

The event had a bit more gravitas this time round as it was the culmination of the Peterborough Poetry and Literary Festival and the UK's Poet Laureate between 1999 and 2009, Sir Andrew Motion, was one of the judges.

Watched a vole cavorting on the patio just before the fox arrived for a feed (as far as I know this didn't include the vole!).

Excellent!

Back from my hols. A bullet point summary of BCG highlights occurring over the last fortnight, signed and notarised by the relevant authorities, would be much appreciated.

You were on holiday? Then who was that guy I let fondle me in the dark cupboard this past week?
